After completing a successful project 3 years earlier, client asked me to take over all server & web administration duties.

First up: rebuild server. Client required web (Apache), email (Postfix/Dovecot) and DNS (BIND) functionality in one box which acts as host to their ecommerce site, half a dozen blogs and an eBay store image repository.

I then performed a security audit, upgraded ecommerce platform to current version, and rolled a custom backup shell script to remotely archive 6 months of data at a time.

I also recoded the home page and installed a new product carousel.

All blogs were eventually consolidated from several domains and housed under the main domain at the client’s request. Implemented a design overhaul of 3 WordPress blogs using child themes.

The main store site has since been redesigned.
